Dt: 2003 , holiday rambler 45 foot navigator. the consumer states the front tires on motor home blew out. these tires had 30,000 miles on them. he replaced the tires, and approximately 30 miles down the road there was another blowout. the consumer found that the valve stem on the wheels hit the rotor and caused a pin hole in the tire. the consumer found the valve stem for the previous tire, and there was the same problem. he took the vehicle to a weigh station and found the front end load could withstand 14,600 pounds, and the front end actually weighed 15,880 pounds with him in it. monaco was contacted and they sent him new rims, and they cleared the valve stem. these rims would not carry the weight that the old rims carried. the new rims were designed to carry 15,300 pounds together. the consumer has been in contact with monaco, speaking with jim humphreys at 877-466-6226.*ak the original tire was a goodyear and it experienced tread separation. the replacement tire was a michelin which blewout after only 30 miles. the valve stem rubbed on the brake rotor causing a pin hole which resulted on loss of air pressure, overheating and blowout. this was an original valve stem.
