 Problems with brake equipment on 2002 hyundai accent. *mr the passenger side front brake rotor, brake hose and pads were defective. the fluid was not returning to the master cylinder causing the passenger side brake pads wear out. there was a shimmy felt through the steering wheel, the tech found both front brake rotors disc warped, the transmission had a delay shifting, the wheels were out of balance, the front calipers had frozen in the right front wheel, the pads stuck in the holders due to the rust build up and noise could be heard and was traced to the passenger side brake hose and pads. *sc *jb

 A clunking noise was coming from the rear of the vehicle during application of brakes. dealership examined vehicle and determined brake drums were not rounded and had to be replaced. four days later, vehicle was involved in a crash when brake pedal went to the floor before brake system activated. crash occurred on december 5, 2001 when vehicle rear-ended a stopped car while traveling approximately 15 to 20 mph. *ak *tt

 Vehicle has been in to dealer several times for service, trans. slips, free wheels, bucks, brakes twice have not worked until minutes after pedal pressed to floor, then pop when accelerating, dealer unable to reproduce?? so they won't fix/investigate problems, they have, however, replaced parts for manual windows that were falling down. nlm

 While driving and when brakes were applied they didn't hold, resulting in an accident.*ak

 When stopped, if you need to hold the brake pedal down, such as on a hill, pedal sinks slowly to the floor. it is worse when the car is warmed up.*ak

 While driving brake pad fell off. the brake fluid leaked out. vehicle had very low mileage on it.*ak

 Brakes failed at 9000 miles causing an accident with another vehicle. front brakes were in a metal to metal condition. pads on front disc brakes have need replacement every 8000 miles since this incident. the rotots have been replaced twice.*ak

 While starting the vehicle the driver applied the brakes and the rear brakes locked. the driver was unable to unlock the brakes. the vehicle was towed to the dealer for inspection. the mechanic informed the driver that the rear brake drums needed to be replaced. please provide further details. *jb

 Horn has broken 3 times in the last 7 months. clutch went at 11,000 miles. windshield wipers broke at 11,000 miles. rear brakes need to be taken apart and cleaned because of excessive dirt/road material getting into brakes. gas mileage poor since 9,000 miles. *ak

 On both 9/27/2004 and 1/13/2006 the rear brake cylinders and shoes had to be replaced because of leaking from the cylinder. on the second occasion, mechanics at doug's lynnwood mazda/hyundai did not notice the problem on the original visit (12/2/2005), and i had to bring it to their attention in order to get it fixed. *jb

 The brake line erupted on the passenger's side while driving. the dealer was notified. *ak the dealer replaced both front rotors and the brake pads within the first 14k miles and refused to check and lubricate both front caliper slides which caused the passenger side brake pad to completely wear down the metal. the passenger side caliper bracket rusted. there was also an engine noise. *sc *jb

 Consumer lost control of the steering. vehicle was taken to the dealer, and it was discovered the spindles were broken, the brake line failed and there was an oil leak, but was unable to locate where the leak was coming from. *jb *ts
