| On january 17th my daughter was involved in an accident on interstate 5. she was driving her 2005 hyundai 4 door accent in the rain when a ford explorer merging onto the highway spun out in circles colliding first with another car then hit the accent approximately over the front lft. headlight. the top of left front wheel was pushed inward, the grill and hood were pushed into windshield, windshield broken, front left roof support, center dash pushed in and parts of dash broken in glove box area,rear seats squished together in the shape of a w. question is why..... didn't either airbag deploy??????? have other cases been reported with hyundais? insurance investigator said they could not determine the cause of failure because the cars electrical system was knocked out completely? have photos if required. *tr | |||

| Tl- the contact owns a 2005 hyundia accent. the contact placed an item under the driver seat that disconnects the air bag wire. the vehicle was taken to the dealer reconnected the air bag wires. the manufacturer took a report 4064969 they advised she should not have place any items under the drivers seat; therefore they will not reimburse the repair cost. the vin information wasn't available. the failure mileage was 60,000 and the current mileage was 61,708. li | |||

| Dt*: the contact stated while passing another vehicle at 70 mph the front driver's side tire bounced, causing the vehicle to go off the roadway and hit a gravel. the vehicle then hit an embankment head on and flipped three times , and the frontal airbags did not deploy. the driver was wearing a seat belt and sustained injuries. a police report was filed at the scene, and pictures were available. the vehicle was towed to an independent repair shop and was awaiting inspection. the insurance agency deemed the vehicle totaled. the fire department had to cut the wires under the hood due to the fact they could not get the car to shut off. *ak | |||

| I was traveling on a south outer road where the speed limit was 35 miles per hr. i drive a hyundai accent 2005 and this 1995 dodge ram pickup failed to make a turn on the roadway and came in direct path of my car. but the impact was in the middle of my car toward the passenger side in which the impact dented my license plate in half and my air bag did not deploy at the impact . i had my seat belt on and i hit my head on the steering wheel , in which later on i had a bad headache and went to the emergency room and they said i had a mild whip lash. the police report said he was going too fast for conditions. can not understand the impact of the front so severe that my airbag didn't deploy. the auto body has my car at this time and they are waiting on the insurance company to total it or not. *cn | |||
