We were traveling from phoenix to colorado. stopped, filled up with gas in las vegas. driving down the road, other motorists were honking and pointing. we pulled over and gas was spilling out through the cap. when the cap was removed gas gushed out at us. we tightened the cap. drove to mesquite using more than half our tank. we had gas splashing at us everytime the cap was removed. we purchased a new cap. we tried to fill up the tank. we could not put any gas in the tank since it was clear to the top and overflowing even though our gauge registered 1/2 tank. we headed to st. george. we tried again to put gas in, now with only 1/4 tank but we couldn't do it. gas was still clear to the top of the spout, splashing out at us. we got a hotel room right next door to the hyundai dealership in st. george (it was sunday). monday morning we took it in. they checked it all out. said nothing was wrong with it. no parts were replaced.
