Defect SummaryNissan is recalling certain model year 2008-2010 vehicles originally sold in or currently registered in the states of connecticut, delaware, iowa, illinois, indiana, massachusetts, maine, maryland, michigan, minnesota, missouri, new hampshire, new jersey, new york, ohio, pennsylvania, rhode island, vermont, washington d.c., west virginia and wisconsin. the material in the nut used to secure the sensor-transmitter of the tire pressure monitoring system (tpms) may corrode and potentially crack in areas with heavy concentrations of road salt. if this occurs, the nut may come out of the sensor-transmitter and the tpms lamp will illuminate.
Consequence SummaryIf the tpms lamp is disregarded and the vehicle continues to be driven in this condition, the tire will quickly lose air pressure at a consistent rate resulting in a flat tire increasing the risk of a crash.
Corrective SummaryThe dealer will replace the tpms nut with a new, more robust nut. this service will be performed free of charge. the recall is expected to begin on or before november 9, 2009. owners may contact nissan at 1-800-647-7261 and infiniti at 1-800-662-6200.

On three separate days, i had trouble stopping my brand new infiniti m35. the first day, on four occasions when i applied the brakes, the car bucked and shook and continued to go forward before finally stopping. on the second and third days, this occurred twice each day. several people saw this happening and screemed for me to put the car into neutral or turn off the motor. i took the car to the infiniti dealer three times for this problem. checked the computer read out, road tested the vehicle for 70 miles, and inspected it thoroughly but could not duplicate the problem. my friend tried twice to apply the brake and accelerator pedal simultaneously but could not duplicate the problem that i had. on each occasion, i was scared to death and was shaking and sweating. i am afraid that i will be killed in this car due to a malfunction that can not be diagnosed. if anyone else has had a similar problem, please report it so that infiniti will know that they have a serious, intermittent problem with the m35 that might end up by killing people. *dt

STEERING
07/15/201112850
I frequently incur tramlining when driving my m35 infinity. almost any asphalt surface that has a paving overlap will cause it, and in some instances, it feels as though the steering wheel will be ripped from my hands. in fact, this event occurred yesterday, jul 15 on the east access road in tubac, az. this is truly a serious defect and unbecoming to the infinity brand.

I have a 2006 infiniti m35x that pulls to the right/left all the time i have changed my tires twice but that did not solve the problem. i have found out from other owners that it is the steering that is causing this problem rack and pinoin.
TIRES
11/03/201114900
My leased 2010 infinity with 245-45-rsa 18 tires installed. in 14000 miles tires have suffered 3 low profile tires with sidewall damage due to striking potholes requiring replacement.having driven 60yrs and over 900,000 miles experienced only one tire sidewall damage with bubble/rupture in all that time.having been involved in auto racing my driving skills are better than the average driver.i avoid as much as possible pot holes but it is inevitible to contact some.i also try to slow down as safety permits so as to have a lower impact on said pot holes.still 3ea.tires in 14000 miles are due to the low profile tire design the shallow aspect ratio is the culprit.as a faa licensed aircraft & engine mechanic and faa licensed private pilot i am quite familiar with a walk a round necessary before a aircraft is flown,i also apply this to the tires on my vehicle.if there is a bubble or sidewall damage the potential for a blowout on the highway at speed with one's self , friends or family for injury or death due to a tire blowout exists. my opinion is that low profile should be sold only on lighter weight sports cars and in area's of the country where potholes are not seen.in other words warmer climates can have low profile tires and colder climate area's .should not unless requested by the drivers of cars that may be equipped with these tires on a requested basis. please look into this all to common problem as the tire manufacturers make money replacing these tires as do the new car dealers as the retailer of these dangerous tires.i shopped for the last tire replaced at my expense and three tire retailers stated they replace a abnormal amount of these tires due to the same reason.

2010 infiniti m35x. consumer writes regarding defective tires *tgw the consumer stated he discovered a leak in the sidewall on one of the front tires. the defect consisted of a break about 3/4 of an inch long. the tire would not hold air and could not be repaired. there was no nail or other object in the tire. the consumer then went to the dealer to complain about the defective tires. the dealer then informed the consumer the rear tires had low tread life and they needed to be replaced. the consumer also suspected the rear tires were defective as well. *jb
