Defect SummaryCertain replacement fuel filters, fram brand name p/n g3727, with date codes x52911 through x60801 sequentially or x600141 and a mexico country or origin marking on the fuel filter housing manufactured from october 18, 2005, through march 21, 2006, sold for use on the vehicles listed above and on certain school buses. (to see the school bus engine sizes, click on document search and then bus applications). the connector on the fuel filter was not manufactured to honeywell's specification. as a result, the o-ring may not seat correctly on the fuel line.
Consequence SummaryThis condition may cause an inadequate seal at the connection, potentially leading to a fuel leak. in the presence of an ignition source, a fire could occur.
Corrective SummaryHoneywell will notify owners and replace the fuel filters free of charge. the recall began on october 18, 2006. owners may contact fram customer service at 1-800-890-2075 (option 1).

 The consumer took the vehicle to the dealership on 2 occasions regarding the recall for the slight hesitation the vehicle experienced, however the problem recurred. there was also a chronic intermittent problem with the brakes, the vehicle made a hissing sound and was slow to stop, which caused the consumer to rear end another vehicle, the consumer was told the vacuum booster pump was defective, and another mechanic informed the consumer the vehicle did not have a vaccine booster pump and it was just a characteristic of the vehicle. mr *ts *jb

 When attempting accelerate vehicle would not move due to the throttle plate being stuck. *ts the idle plate became stuck at idle and as a result the vehicle moved very slowly. this was the sixth time this happened. each time the dealer cleaned the throttle assembly. after the fifth incident the dealer no longer accepted financial responsibility on behalf of jaguar. they tried to convince the consumer that a sticking throttle was a normal the condition that required periodic maintenance every 10000 miles. *nm
 Consumer started vehicle up in the morning and applied accelerator and there was no communication between the pedal or fuel line until the vehicle heats u. mechanic stated, in order to unlock the mechanism, consumer has to move the linkage to the throttle.*ak
