Jeep Commander 2009
Model Commander made in 2009 by Jeep got 32 consumer complains there are 2 recalls as well as 6 service bulletins. Consumer complaints with reference, among others things, to electrical system, engine and engine and engine cooling. Technical service bulletines regarding air bags, electrical system and engine and engine cooling. There were some recalls concerningair bags, suspension. Defect Summary | Rock krawler is recalling 44 performance suspension systems sold as aftermarket equipment for use on the vehicle listed above. these suspension systems were produced with grade 2 carriage bolts instead of the proper grade 5 carriage bolts. the improper grade 2 carriage bolts could experience a loss of clamping force for the bottom strut fork. | |||||||||||||||

Approximately 3 months after purchasing my jeep commander, it stalled with no warning. all the trucks lights lit up and the power steering would not work. i was able to start it back up and drive. i took it to the dealer and they were unable to help me as they could not recreate the issue. since then it has happened an additional 2-3 times with the dealership still unable to help me. all times the truck has stalled out and i have been able to restart and drive away. the last time being in september of 2012 while driving on a freeway at approximately 65 mph. *tr | |||

Tl- the contact owns a 2009 jeep commander. the contact stated that while traveling 70 mph the dashboard lit up and the vehicle started slowing down. the first time the dealer stated that there was a problem with the key. the second time the dealer re-programmed the computer. neither repaired the failure. when the vehicle stalls the steering goes out. the contact is able to start the vehicle right up after the stall. the failure mileage was 34000 and the current mileage was 41000.rl | |||
