Defect SummaryCertain pro-a motors corner lamps, turn signals, and headlights sold as replacement lamps for use on certain passenger vehicles listed above. some combination lamps that are not equipped with amber side reflectors fail to conform to federal motor vehicle safety standard no. 108, lamps, reflective devices, and associated equipment.
Consequence SummaryWithout the amber reflectors, the vehicle will be poorly illuminated, possibly resulting in a vehicle crash without warning.
Corrective SummaryPro-a motors will notify owners and offer to repurchase the lamps. the recall began on april 3, 2006. owners may contact pro-a motors at 323-838-2988.

 When the headlight light switch was turned on all the dashboard lights went out and the gauges malfunctioned. this was caused by the defect as described in recall 99v117000 for instrument panel screws, but this vehicle was not included in the recall due to vin. *ak

 Internal contacts failure in turn signal switch renders turn signals, headlights, and hazard warning inoperative. problems with this switch have also causes other electrical issues. in some cases, this also drains the battery when the vehicle is off. this is a common issue on jeep wranglers and requires replacement of the switch. *tr
