I'm not sure what the problem with the car is, but at around 55 mph, the vehicle begins to lose control and then gains it again as it speeds up. possibly some sort of resonance found at that speed, but it has begun to be a severe problem. i have been driving down the road and if i hit that speed on the wrong section, the car beings to practically bounce up and down. this doesn't seem safe or right to me.*jb

From time of purchase , my wife has been complaining that her vehicle is wobbling. we have taken the jeep to the dealer several times to fix, but they seem at a loss as to whats causing the problem. our 6th trip to the dealer will be this monday, june 28,1999. i spoke with dennis tagge, service manager at palm auto mall, he stated that the tires may be slipping on the rims as the vehicle accelerates. he has decided that sanding the rims andor adding some form of nonslip compound might solve the problem. i 'm not as confident as he that this will resolve it. please let me know if this type of problem has been reported before. each time we took the jeep into the dealer, they rebalanced the wheels in hopes this problem would dissappear. we are on our second and a half set of tires and yet the problem persists. i have suggested to them the problem may be in the wheels themselves and they should be replaced. they seem reluctant to do this. i don't want to go through alot more of this, please help if you can. thank you. *ak( dot number: tire size: 30x9.5r15 )

Vehicle had tires replaced at approx. 40,000 miles, after several front end alignments and tire rotations tires showed signs of uneven wear. recommended new tires be computer balanced and yet another front end alignment. on dec 27, 2001, driving on rural rt 6a (cape cod ma) at 35 mph, unable to turn steering wheel on two corners then front right wheel fell off @ ball-joint and remained connected to vehicle but strayed under the car causing the vehicle to roll 4 timesend over end, coming to rest after taking down a phone pole. all 4 wheels came off during accident, driver and 1 pass. to hospital, vehicle totaled, consumer payed for phone pole. vehicle had just passed state safety inspection.
