 Sudden acceleration occurred while idling in traffic while the brakes were being applied. this caused the vehicle to run in back of a truck. no injuries reported. dealer was notified. *ak the consumer stated that the dealer downloaded software to power train computer from the 1998 service bulletin. the bulletin stated that when the temperature rose to 103 celsius it could cause high rpm in parking lot maneuvers or stop and go traffic. the consumer stated that this should have been done to all 99 models. the consumer sold the vehicle. *tc *sc

 While driving at any speed air bag light and check engine light appeared on the dashboard . this caused the speedometer to fail. consumer was able to maintain control of the vehicle, and drove it home. consumer will contact the dealer in the near future. *ak *la
