This problem has been occurring since the first week i bought the jeep used back in 2007. i returned to the dealership three times in the first month to have them balance, rotate tires, check alignment. was told i needed new tires. new tires does fix the problem for a while. i have replaced brakes, rotors, tires, had alignments, rotations etc. only to have the problem recur. i have now found that this problem is called the jeep death wobble and has hundreds of like complaints. my tire wobbles terribly at around 55 miles per hour. i am now told that i should replace my upper and lower ball joints. chrysler/jeep has already acknowledged a similar problem on their liberty. they need to discover the problem so that we can fix this and ride safely before someone dies from this defect.

When i hit speeds of 50mph, my jeep wobbles terribly. i have read numerous reviews and complaints that this is not uncommon and it even has a name, the death wobble. we are going to pass the jeep onto our 16 yr old daughter, but would like to know if it is going to be recalled or if it is fixable. i would hate anything to happen to our daughter, especially if jeep is aware of this problem,

Approximately 1 year after purchasing my used 2005 wrangler, gas started to overflow from from the filler tube upon fueling. the first time this occurred, i thought it was a defective pump shut-off at the station until it happened the next time and the next and so on. i have been dealing with this for at least 2 years with no resolve. a good amount of gas will spill out of the tank once the tank has reached capacity, spraying gas all over the vehicle and the ground. this can be minimized by slowing the flow from the nozzle, but there is no way to tell when the tank is going to be full or not. this is not only a safety issue as there is now a volatile substance on the ground, but an environmental issue as there is now gasoline that could easily enter the ground water. it is unacceptable that chrysler is aware of this problem, has admitted that it affects other model years yet refuses to accept further responsibility.

When refueling the vehicle, the automatic shutoff does not engage from the vehicle itself properly, causing fuel to continue to flow and out and all over the side of the vehicle. it also sprays out and on the operator fueling the vehicle. there is a technical service bulletin from jeep about the issue, but action has not been taken by the manufacturer. i request this be repaired under warranty. material safety data sheets classify gasoline as a hazardous material, known to cause health defects when in contact with skin, and environmental impacts when improperly contained.

Our 2005 jeep wrangler has been overflowing when filling up the gas tank for two months now. there is no warning and the gas spews out of the nozzle/tank. the gas often gets all over my shoes, hands and pants. we are not ignoring the shut off click, since this problem began there hasn't been one. for our own safety we wait until the gas light is on to get gas and then estimate how much gas we need in order to stay gas free. we have researched the problem and it seems to be a common problem with jeep and chrysler vehicles involving the inlet check valve, yet they have done nothing.

Hello, i own a 2005 jeep wrangler unlimited. while driving on the highway, trying to maintain the proper speed limit, my jeep will develop a death wobble to the front end. this erractic and almost uncontrollable behavior occurs at anywhere from 55 to 60mph. after trying to research the solution to this problem, i have noticed multiple other jeep owners having the same issue. my jeep is my daily driver, and also is used to transport my 4 and 5 year old kids around. due to the economy i can not afford to purchase another vehicle, nor will i sell these problems to someone else. i am surprised there hasn't been more highway related incidents/fatalities due to this issue. any help will be greatly appreciated in solving this issue. dealerships are no help and i cant afford to replace the whole front end just to end up with the same problems. thank you for your time in this matter, respectfully, medic/firefighter brad king

Front end shakes violently after hitting a bump and will not stop shaking until vehicle is brought to a stop. dealer has attempted to fix it 5 times between august 06 and january 07. dealer replaced steering dampner in august, 2006. replaced trac bar in december, 2006. i had independent shop check front end. found nothing out of spec. at one point dealer claimed that it was caused by tires. new tires fixed problem for a short time. had tires balanced 4 times in 2009. replaced stabilizer shock again in august, 2009 and again in december of 2011 with heavy duty one. problem persists today in january of 2012.

Fuels sprays out of the fill point when filling at a gas station. i have had it spray into the air and into my mouth and close to my eyes. i have the nozzle in the hole and on auto stop and when it is full, the pump stops the fueling after the fuel come squirting out. this is a known problem and i am sick and dang tired of getting fuel all over my hands, face and clothing!

I bought a 2005 se sport jeep wrangler about two years ago. in the past few months i have noticed vibrations increasing in the steering wheel and just in the past month the shakings have become extremely violent between 52-60 mph, causing me to have to pull over and stop on the interstate. i took it to the shop and have had the brake pad replaced, new shocks, new alignment, tires rotated, tires balanced, rotors replaced and the entire front end checked. the shaking is still present and i cannot afford to keep replacing one thing at a time when nothing seems to help. the violent shaking is occurring consistently every time i reach 52 mph now and i am scared to drive it on the interstate or have my family drive it. i don't know what to do, where to go or who to talk to to help me get this fixed without costing me my entire months salary or more. my tires also appear to be wearing wrong due to the shaking, which will cost me more money to replace. i have done research on this death wobble and am finding that it is very common. we need someone to help us so no one gets seriously injured and so we aren't paying out of pocket for a technical error.

2005 jeep wrangler ejects gasoline at every fill-up. after the pump clicks the vehicle filler neck shoots out a considerable amount of fuel (aprox 1cup +). on a windy day about a month ago, the fuel came out with enough force to go all over the vehicle, me, and onto my face. the problem is consistent and causes a substantial amount of fuel to spill out at every fill-up.
