Defect SummaryQuadratec, inc. is recalling certain aftermarket accessory, driver-side, ultimate floor liners part numbers 14254.0301 07, 14254.0301 08, 14254.0301q, 14254.0302 07, 14254.0302 08, 14254.0302q, 14254.0303 07, 14254.0303 08, 14254.0303q, 14254.0309 07, 14254.0309 08, and 14254.0309q sold from may 1, 2012, through february 14, 2013. the liners are for use in 2007-2013 jeep wranglers. the anchor point for the affected floor liners may tear during use, particularly when exposed to high temperatures. the tearing may allow the floor liner to shift forward.
Consequence SummaryIf the liner shifts forward it may impede the operation of the accelerator and possibly lead to unintended acceleration, which may increase the risk of a crash.
Corrective SummaryQuadratec will notify owners and either exchange the liners or provide them with a hook guard kit to help secure the driver-side mat, free of charge. the recall is expected to begin in march 2013. owners may contact quadratec at 1-800-463-2998 or info@quadratec.com.

Defect SummaryChrysler is recalling 308 aftermarket mopar tow bar assemblies, p/n 82209758, sold during 2007 and 2008 calendar year which are used to tow model year 2007 and 2008 jeep wrangler vehicles.
Consequence SummaryThe tow bar can fail under certain driving conditions. this can result in the towed vehicle separating from the towing vehicle, possibly resulting in a crash.
Corrective SummaryChrysler will notify the owners of all 2007 and 2008 model year jeep wrangler vehicles who could have purchased a recalled tow bar and will replace the tow bars free of charge. the safety recall began on november 23, 2009. owners may contact chrysler at 1-800-853-1403.

 Tl*the contact owns a 2007 jeep wrangler. the contact notified an authorized dealer on december of 2009 regarding a recall campaign id number 09e044000 (equipment). an authorized dealer stated that the part was unavailable until january 2010. the part became available and unfortunately was used for another vehicle. the contact was waiting on a response from the dealer for the recall remedy repair. the vin was not available. the failure mileage was 16,000. the current mileage was 21,000.

 2007 jeep wrangler. consumer requests assistance with recall replacement dealer. *tgw the consumer received a recall notice in the mail. when she took the vehicle to the dealer, she was informed by the dealer, they would have to order the tow bar as they did not have any in stock and that the one she had looked ok and it didn't need to be replaced. the consumer stated since it was being recalled, she wanted it replaced regardless. the consumer stated it has been almost 4 months and the dealer still has not contacted her. *jb

 Tl*the contact owns a 2007 jeep wrangler. while driving 30 mph, the stopping distance increased when the brakes were applied. the contact stated that the failure also occurred the following day while driving 40 mph. the road conditions were clear. he further stated that while driving 2 mph, the vehicle veered to the right. the dealer adjusted the tire pressure. in addition, there was a five second delay when he started the vehicle. the contact stated that the air conditioner and radio worked intermittently. the dealer was unable to duplicate any of the failures. the failure mileage was 900 and current mileage was 1,702.

 Tl*the contact owns a 2007 jeep wrangler. while driving 40 mph, the vehicle stalled. the vehicle coasted and restarted on its own. the vehicle failed again while pulling into the driveway. the contact took the vehicle to the dealer, but they could not duplicate the failure. on july 10, 2007, the vehicle was repaired under nhtsa recall number 07v291000 (electrical system). the vehicle has not stalled since the repair, but continues to hesitate as if it will stall. the vehicle was taken to the dealer twice because the air conditioning system failed. on august 27, 2007, the contact noticed that the abs and anti-skid lights were illuminated. the vehicle is currently at the dealer for the a/c system. the current mileage was 18,000 and failure mileage was 2,384.
