 Jeep leaks during any rain storm. area between the door and frame of jeep that is normally protected by weatherstripping does not control leaks. i have had the weatherstripping replaced and the leaks still continue. a good rain storm will leave 2 inches of water in my floorboards. carpet is beginning to rot and mold will have to be removed. *tr

 Tl. contact owns a 2007 jeep wrangler. the contact stated while driving in the rain while driving 40 mph the soft top on the vehicle leaks on the driver and passenger side where the doors meet. water leaks on the electrical components in the vehicle and could rust and even a fire. the contact took the vehicle to the dealer for the water leak and the dealer replaced the door seals on the driver and passenger side but that has not remedied the issue. the dealer stated it's a design flaw in the soft as well as the door seals. the contact called the manufacturer regarding the leaking soft top and the manufacturer would not provide any assistance to the contact. the failure mileage was 59,500. jo

 2007 jeep wrangler. consumer states problems with soft top on vehicle not fitting correctly. *tgw the consumer stated the soft top popped open while driving on the interstate. *jb

 Tl*the contact owns a 2007 jeep wrangler. the contact noticed that the front driver's and passenger side floor areas accumulated an excessive amount of water. the failure was noticed whenever it rained. there was approximately two gallons of water collected on the floor area. the vehicle was taken to an independent mechanic for inspection. the mechanic provided a packing around the windows in order to remedy the failure. the vehicle was taken to an authorized dealer on five separate occasions, but they could not assist. the vehicle has not been repaired properly. the failure mileage was 23,000 and current mileage was 36,000.

 2007 jeep wrangler with defective windshield wiper system. consumer states that the windshield wiper system is defective and chrysler never investigated his problem. *kb the safety issue pertaining to the windshield wiper design, allows water into a metal box area which becomes frozen and prevents the wiper system from functioning in cold inclement weather conditions. *jb

 2007 jeep wrangler problems with engine stalling. consumer states that in order to restart the vehicle it must be in neutral before turning the ignition switch. consumer states she would like the vehicle replaced. *kb the seat belt retractor on the drivers side failed within weeks of owning the vehicle, there was a constant rattling noise coming from the pillar area, the drivers door did not close properly. the technician used a mallet or hammer to align the door striker. the consumer had to slam the door in order for it to close properly, even though there was no certainty the door was really closed. there was a possibility that the striker on the door could collapse while the vehicle was in motion causing the door to open. the vehicle also made a rattling noise while accelerating. *jb

 This jeep is a death trap and a money trap. my first incident occurred feb 16th, 2011 and cost 600.00. needed a new steering dampner which they replaced. two months later same thing happens and they replace the same piece with the newer steering dampner. two days ago the same thing happens again and now i need to spend more money to fix the same problem. researched the issue and it's called death wobble had i known this exsisted i would never have bought this car, i feel so unsafe in this car. i will never buy another jeep and will tell everyone i know to not buy one. these cars should be recalled and fixed for free, and this company should be sued for making cars that are this unsafe.

 Tl*the contact owns a 2007 jeep wrangler. the contact observed that the vehicle was damaged on the driver side door after being serviced for a recall repair by an authorized dealer. the authorized dealer stated that they were not responsible for the damage. the vehicle has not been repaired and there has been no resolution. the recall number was unknown. the failure and current mileages were 12,084.

 Tl*the contact owns a 2007 jeep wrangler. the contact stated that when entering the vehicle, she noticed that the door hinge, hood, and the driver and passenger side doors paint was uneven and exhibited rust underneath. the dealer stated that the door hinges were rusting and the door hinges would have to be replaced. the manger notified a representative from chrysler and he agreed to inspect the vehicle to determine if the failure would be repaired by the manufacturer since he was unable to make that decision. the representative confirmed that no compensation would be offered since the failure was surface rust caused by the environment. a report was filed with the manufacturer; however, she has not received any follow up correspondence regarding her claim. the failure mileage was 25,000 and the current mileage was 27,000.

 Tl*the contact owns a 2007 jeep wrangler. the contact stated that it takes a minimum of four men to remove the hard top (freedom top) from the vehicle. the top leaks when it rains or when the vehicle is washed. daimler chrysler stated that in order to get the vehicle inspected, the hard top would have to be placed back on the vehicle. while attempting to do so, the top became too heavy and was dropped, resulting in damage to the vehicle. the vehicle was towed to the dealer for inspection. the current and failure mileages were 4,000.

 2007 jeep wrangler sahara faulty t-top clasp customer states t-top flew off into on-coming traffic when driving**sb the consumer stated that jeep liberty is not living up to its five star name and would like them to investigate the t tops with a guarantee in writing and responsible for the cost of new t-tops. the consumer provided pictures of defect and place where incident occurred. the dealer informed the consumer that the tops had cracks in them and that someone must have dropped them. the consumer was aware they had cracks because it flew off into the road. the consumer requested that all of the latches be checked. the consumer noticed that when the vehicle was returned the passenger side latch had been adjusted. *tr
