 From new this engine burns over 1 quart to 3 quarts of oil per 1000 miles traveled, if you do an oil change at 5000 miles as is recomended there is no oil left in the motor, mopar says this is normal oil consumption

 2009 jeep wrangler. consumer writes on behalf of his wife who was involved in a motor vehicle accident when another vehicle made a left turn in front of her. right after the impact, the jeep remained in drive and continued to move forward. the engine compartment also ignited, resulting in a fire *tgw after the vehicle was brought to a halt, and a fire retardant was applied to extinguish the flame, as the jeep was being set up for towing, the fire re-ignited and caused additional damage. *jb
