Tl*the contact owns a 2003 lexus lx470. the contact took the vehicle to an authorized dealer for recall 10v346000 (steering: gear: shaft pitman). after the repairs, the contact began to experience issues with the steering. the steering failed at times and the vgrs light illuminated on the instrument panel. the vehicle was taken back to an authorized dealer who stated that only recall repairs had been performed. the contact called the manufacturer who sent two representatives to inspect the vehicles. the representatives stated that the vehicle was performing normally after they repaired it again (did not say what was repaired). the vehicle somehow slipped off the lift while at the dealer, hit the ground and bounced four times. the failure mileage was 129,299 and the current mileage was 130,000.

Tl- the contact owns a 2003 lexus lx470. the contact took the vehicle to the dealer to have nhtsa campaign id number: 10v346000 (steering: gear: shaft pitman) and after the vehicle developed a steering. the contact stated the vehicle did not have any failures prior to the recall, but had the repair done based on the recall notice received from the manufacturer. the contact stated that shortly afterwards, the steering went out completely on the vehicle. when the failure occurred, the vgrs (variable gear ratio steering) light came on the dashboard. the contact then took the vehicle back to the dealer and asked what was replaced and was only told the recall repair was done. the manufacturer sent two representatives to inspect the vehicle and they relayed to the contact that the steering is now working properly, but could not tell the contact what was repaired on the vehicle. the contact stated the vehicle slipped off the lift while at the dealer and hit the ground causing the vehicle to bounce four times. the contact feels this is what has caused the failure, because the recall states that the steering could fail when the vehicle hits rough road and pot holes. the contact feels this is what is causing the overall failure and the recall repair does not work. the failure mileage was 129,299 and the current mileage was 130,000.rl
