| I have a 203 mercedes-benz clk320 with only 32,300 miles on it. the speedometer needle doesn't work on my instrument cluster. i get a digital readout , but nothing from the needle. all other gauges work fine. i understand this is an issue with other mb vehicles, but i was unable to find my particular model listed as qualifying for the recall. i have been quoted $1,000 to replace the instrument cluster and feel that i should not have to pay for this since it is a known and somewhat widespread issue. *tr | |||

| Tl-the contact owns a 2003 mercedes-benz clk320. the contact stated that the rollover bar in the rear head restraint deployed when he drove over a bump three times. he was able to move them back down after the failure the first two times. the third time, he had an issue putting the rollover bar back down. the vehicle was taken to an authorized dealership where the contact was informed that if it was repaired, there was only a 20% chance that the bar would be completely repaired. otherwise, he would have to repair the entire rollover bar system. the called the manufacturer who stated that they would offer no assistance with the repair costs. the vehicle had not been repaired at the time of the complaint. the current mileage was approximately 69,000. the failure mileage was approximately 45,000-bk | |||

| Tl- the contact owns a 2003 mercury clk. while driving the vehicle, the lights on the instrument panel were no longer illuminated. they just went out. the vehicle was taken to the dealer and customer was advised, you just can't replace the bulbs for the clock, temperature gage, and the gear shift indicator, you have to replace the entire instrument panel. this is not covered under warranty and the cost is $1200.00 at his expense. the manufacturer has not been contacted, i provided him with the number 800-458-8006. the failure mileage was 77,000 and the current mileage was 77,050.....dwh | |||
