| Owner of a 2006 mercury mountaineer. i purchased my vehicle in february 2010. the retractable running boards do not operate properly. sometimes up then down one up the other down. disconnecting motor or pulling fuses are not the answers. steel mixed with aluminum pins is bad but can be fixed. i reviewed numerous on-line complaints and wanted to know why this item has not been recalled. the boards half way down is a constant trip hazard when getting in and out of the vehicle. 1500 dollars to replace the entire unit is the wrong answer. this is clearly a design problem on a great vehicle | |||

| My mercury mountainers 2006 third row right seat got jammed while my son was seated in the left seat next to it almost pinching him in the seat and i looked at a couple of websites and it states many people are having the same problem i think they should look into this problem before some one gets hurt | |||
