Defect SummaryThe bolts which secure the rear bench seats to the seat risers may be embrittled and fracture.
Consequence SummaryIn case of an accident, the bolt may fail and can cause the seat to break away from the seat risers, which increases the potentialof injury to its occupants.
Corrective SummaryDealers will replace the rear bench seat to riser bolts.

 While driving about 50-55 mph, all of a sudden. the seat back on the driver's side collasped. vehicle was taken to the dealership for repairs. the whole seatback assembly was replaced at owner's expense. dealer reimbursed owner for repairs. *ak.
 Vehicle was at a stop when it was rearended. upon impact, both driver's & passenger's seatbacks broke and fell back, causing back injuries. manufacturer stated it was a safety feature. *ak
