There was a recall many years ago in germany on the starter, also have a letter from the chrysler shop the part get replaced on warranty that was many years ago, there never had the part to replace it. now i am in the states ,in washington, and the recall part failed me. second: my headlight have a film haze, there is no way to clean it take it apart or anything. we went to used auto part stores every last one has the same problem. i cant see at night, and can cost me an extent. that should be a recall. a new light would cost $ 270.00 plus tax per light. it is on both lights. i am disappointed with the chrysler. i also just read on your web there many other recalls i never knew about it. what can you do for me. *jb

98 plymouth voyager vin #2p4gp4531wr687519 please be advised that my acrylic head lamps have become pitted via normal driving. i believe this causes loss of visiblity during nightime operation. visibility may be lowered by more than 50%. i think this may be a common situation in vehicles nationally. please advise me on the proper steps to rectify.

EXTERIOR LIGHTING - HEADLIGHTS - SWITCH
12/13/200513000030
When attempting to turn on the headlights, the headlights will flicker on for only a split second then go off. the driver must turn the headlight switch only to a certain point so that the lights will stay on. if the lights flicker, the driver has to turn the lights off, then try again. twice, while driving at night, the headlights went out, requiring the driver to pull off the road (without lights), then fiddle with the headlight switch to get the headlights to come on again. it is extremely touchy to get them to come on and stay on. this appears to be a safety recall in canada, but not in the us. according to the automobile protection association (in canada) for 1996-2000 models, headlight switch or relay malfunction in the lower dash panel or steering column can cause the lights to fail to come on, or the electrical system to overheat with smoke and a risk of fire (three cases of smoke and two of fire at time of writing). see http://www.apa.ca/template.asp?docid=23#top for the information i just referenced. *jb
