Defect Summary | Certain curved tempered replacement glass manufactured by hangzhou safety glass ltd and supplied to safelite by auto temp inc., identified as dot-430, and sold for use on certain domestic and foreign vehicles may not break into small pieces as expected of tempered glass and fails to conform to federal motor vehicle safety standard no. 205, glazing materials. | |||||||||||||||

Corrective Summary | Safelite will notify its retail customers and replace the glass free of charge. retail customers can contact safelite toll free at 1-888-843-2906. safelite will notify its wholesale customers and reimburse wholesale customers for current inventory and at a specified rate for replacing their customer's glass. wholesale customers can contact safelite's wholesale division, service autoglass toll free at 1-888-246-6298. the recall began on january 15, 2008. | |||||||||||||||

I have replaced so many tires on this van i have took it to be lined up and they tell me that it cant be lined up because there is a problem underneath and i have contacted traid dodge and they tell me that is not under warranty but i think it should be because i don't know if this van was wrecked when i purchased it. it keeps eating up the drivers side tire on the out side and then inside of the passenger side. also the power window on the passenger side just works when it wants to. do you have any advice for me. thank you very much your help. *ts ***dimsii ivoq entry posted after 12-12-02 cut over to artemis***761109 | |||

Total power shutdown while trying to start. started 10 minutes later. various components started failing - door locks, intermittant wiper, rear wiper, rear washer, power mirror. took to dealer and was told i needed a new bcm. replaced bcm for $600 and was told that everything had to be repaired! they replace defective bcm 50-60 times a year so that they can tell you your car is not working! what a racket! and apparently the one they replaced had already been replaced before - how many times i don't know. $220 of recommended repairs were not guaranteed to fix the problems either! i reported the details to customer assistance and was told they would call back - they didn't. when i called them they said that all assistance was denied! i had to pay $600 so they could tell me what i had already told them! i'll take it to an independent shop where they charge to fix the car.*ak | |||

My windshield wipers turn on and do not turn off despite having replaced the multifunction switch (by aaa service center upon advisement of chrysler dealer) and replacement of wiper motor with a mopar rebuilt motor while traveling. i currently have the power disconnected to the wiper motor and reconnect when it rains or snows. the wiper blades working on the dry windshield wears them out reduces visability. dt | |||

While driving the vehicle windshield whipers will come and go off, without the driver putting them on. but when driver does cut windshield whipers on they will not work. please provide more details. ts | |||

Windshield wipers turn themselves on/off intermittently and without warning. occasionally windshield wipers will not turn on when engaged by driver. consumer feels that body control module is faulty. the radio was inoperative, the brake light on the dash board does not illuminate, the emergency brake switch had to be reconnected consumer was unable to open doors from the inside. *akjlg | |||

The windshield wipers wouldn't work. an electronic computer was replaced. then the red air bag warning light would come on and stay lit. the severity and increases with humidity and cold. will the airbag deploy as required? i hope so. thank you for you help. has anyone else had similiar troubles? | |||
