Over the past 5 years - since the replacement my serpentine belt on my 2000 chrysler voyager has popped off 4 or 5 times. since our local dealer is no longer here i had to pay $93.21 today to have the belt put back. the mechanic check the belt and tensioner and found both in practically brand new condition and good working order. he could not find a reason why it would come off. each time it has come off was after a rain. in researching this problem online i found that it has happened a lot to many others also. my former dealer's mechanics also could not explain why this occurs. this is a dangerous situation that needs a quick and permanent solution since all the power controls such as steering are managed by this one belt. once out you no longer have any power assisted steering. *tr updated 06/30/11 *bf

Problems with vehicle's battery, master cylinder, tensioner, air conditioner and serpentine belt.*mr the main problem was the air conditioner. all the expenses were very frustrating, especially with low mileage. in addition, consumer felt the extended warranty for 2001, 2002, and 2003 voyagers with air conditioner problems, should've been extended to 2000 voyagers. *ph *jb

Engine shut down while on highway at 55mph. i was able to roll in to a parking lot safely. car restarted 10 minutes later only to shut down as soon as i moved. towed to nearest dealer, they replaced an electronic controller in engine compartment. i don't know if this is common in these vehicals, but this could be dangerous on todays highways. *ak
