I purchased my trailer in october of '05 as a new trailer with new carlisle sure trail tires size st175/80-13. i was made aware that these particular tires were prone to tread failure and blowout so i always check the pressure before every trip. on the way home from a camping trip i stopped at a rest area and checked the tires again. i felt each one for heat and any abnormalities in the tread. all 4 looked good and were only warm to the touch. it was 85 degrees outside. 25 miles later one blew, throwing rubber all over which caused a malfunction in the trailer brake system. i was traveling right at 60 mph and the trailers weight was 20% under the weight ratings posted on the sidewalls. i am the only owner, they have never been under inflated and never over loaded and they have less than 5000 miles on them. the tires are defective and need to be replaced. *jb
