| I was traveling toward kokomo, indiana, returning home from a dr's appointment with my service dog, gamsby. there was a harley_davidson trailer truck with a michigan license plate in front of me. a large metal l shaped bar flew from under the trailer and under my car, sending it into a spin and tearing up the bottom of the car. my car is no longer operational for trips out of town. i tried to talk with the harley davidson company and they claimed no responsibility. i am a college teacher, disabled and both me and my seizure dog were injured. harley-davidson's corporate office brushed us off like dirt. it is hard enough to survive with medical bills and little income. now my dog is having seizures (probably due to his head hitting the dash in the crash) and do not have a safe car to drive. i know life is not fair, but in this case i think the larger company feels they are above the law. *tr | |||

| Tl*the contact owns a 1991 toyota camry. at 175,000 miles, the contact purchased four kelly springfield navigator gold tires. while driving 60 mph, the front passengers side tire tread separated from the tire. the tire had 20,000 miles at the time of failure. the tire was replaced. while driving 40 mph, the belt failed on the rear drivers side tire and the vehicle began to shake. the tire had 41,000 miles at the time of failure. no crash has occurred. the engine size and dot number were unknown. the current mileage is 200,016 and failure mileage was 175,000. | |||

| While driving 65mph right rear tire blewout. vehicle tried to flip over, but driver was able to controll it. moved to side of road & checked the tires. noticed right rear tire had lost all its tread. the tire was bald. tread had wrapped around the brake line & broke it. called for road service & took two men to unwrap tread. tire replaced with spare. took to tire retailer & had it replaced. 1991 toyota camry. size 185/70r15 with 35,000 miles on it.*ak yokohama 185/70/r15 *mw *slc | |||

| Purchased new bfgoodrich tires around may? of 2001 at a merchants site now closed. around july one tire had sidewall cracks. merchants determined it to be defective. replaced one tire at a $10 cost for hazard warranty. about nov. 2001 remaining 3 tires exhibited same sidewall cracks. car had about 10k miles on it and rockville merchants determined tires to be defective and returned to dealer for credit. i was charged about $90 or 1/3 the price of the tires. now, march 2002 the 3 replaced tires again have the same type sidewall cracks and some swirl patterns. merchants determined to be defective and reported to michelin who owns goodrich. i refuse to have goodrich put on the car but am being asked to pay about $20 for each of 4 tires to be michelin to be put on the car. my family dr. also said he had 3 sets of such tires replaced (free of charge) then just bought dif. ones himself. it appears they are not acknowledging a known defect and consumers are being put in danger and ripped off. i do not plan to keep this car more than a year and should not have to pay to have defective tires replaced!!! other dot #'s end in 2602 and 3501. those are the recent ones. i can get the prior numbers from records. i also can get the specific dates if needed; these are estimated dates.*ak (dot number: anv9d31136 tiresize: p19560r15) | |||
