| 1992 v6 3.0 camry history of multiple problems and repairs, good maint. record, none covered recognized by toyoya warranty. engine and steering and suspension in this car and many others is llisted as significant problems in research reports for a reason. manufacturing, engineering design all problem areas. driving car at slow speed, had uncontrollabe pull to left and surging car into a wall. driver airbag and sustained nonlife threatening injuries. property damage to wall and to car significant. investigator says most likely rack and pinion steering at fault. reading up on toyota cars with v6 3.0 engine and design of car, believe this car and others share the same problems, so complicated, difficult costly to address, toyota choosing to ignore addressing problems. this car is xample of one vehicle been around many years and what ultimately can happen when the problems not fixed. believe design flaws significant and dangerous safety hazard. believe in the v6 engines and steering design( same design some lexus and other toyota models ) are persistant problems. only matter of time before lives will be lost due to what i think is negligence in acknowledging (not fixing the problems which may not be fixable which in that case the cars should be recalled.overwhelming cost, see why toyota would not want to do that.) unfortunately, doesnt stop problems risks for people with these cars. really believe if get a list of all the cars out there with the v6 engine and the steering desing as in this camry, you would find the same type consistent problems and key to what really is causing them to sludge, blow head gaskets, catch fire, blue smoke, sieze surge forward pull to the left in a matter of anything from wandering to uncontrollable pulling into head on traffic. problems are clearly noted and repeated in the little time i have spent reviewing complaints. it should be more readily available for toyota to look into. *ak | |||

| In heavy traffic car heated up. stayed hot. garage told me it was a head gasket/cam head problem that was a courtsey recall from toyota. i asked what that meant and was told if someone complains they would fix it. this information my mechanice got from the toyota garage. when i contacted the toyota dearlership they denied telling my mechanic that and said there was nothing that i could do. it cost me over $1,500 to fix the head gasket and cam. now the radiator fan is not working corrrectly and is related to the previous problem. can you determine if there was courtsey recall and what can be done to make the manufactor stand by their product. | |||

| As i was beginning to drive after a red light, my car made a horrible roaring-like noise. my local mechanic said it was the front engine pipe and replaced it. this was on april of 1999. in august of 1999, as i was driving away from a car wash, the car began making the same noise. i took it to pep boys and they said it was the front engine pipe. i again had to have it replaced. since the original incident, the car now also makes a 'whirring' noise everytime i accelerate. | |||

| Engine compartment hood support failure, the hood will not stay in the up position, pe96-040. *ak consumer also stated that brake computer failed vehicle was on cruise control at 55 mph on highway, and consumer applied her foot to brake due to build up of traffic ahead, and cruise control did not disengage so that vehicle surges foward and almost hit another vehicle, ealer stated it was due to computer not reconizing consumer's foot therfore not engaging cruise control, also entire exhaust system fell off the mainfold due to being held on oly by a thin piece of solder when vehicle was about only 20 months old.*jb | |||
