| 3 times since purchasing my new 1994 camry (v6 sedan), the engine has completely died while driving. all power lost to engine, power steering, and power brakes. happened when brand new. brought it back to shop and they said it's the type of computer glitch that's to be expected on such a complex computer system. has happened twice more since then. when i pull over to restart the engine, everything is fine. scary as hell when it happens when i'm driving. has only happened 3 times, fortunately. | |||

| 1994 toyota camry, uncontrolled acceleration on i-540 norht west arkansas about 2 years ago. cruise control was on, hit brakes and car sped up. put in neurtal and turned engine off. later the switch on the brake/tail light / cruise disconnect was replaced. i have had no other incident since. hope this may help. | |||

| Intermittant engine/electrical complete failure. no matter if idle, accelerating, or deccelerating. weather not a factor. no warning of failure, usually starts back up after pulling over. have taken it to maita toyota on numerous occasions but unable to duplicate. dealer failed to enter original incident (occured apprx 3-5 months after purchase prior to warranty end) in their system. had them check it at 15k checkup. | |||

| Just read about the recall on the honda's that let the ignition key be removed while the vehicle is not in park. i have a 1994 toyota camry xle which has the same problem. at least 3-4 times per month i park the car and remove the key. when i return and the car won't start, i notice the car was in drive or reverse when the key was removed. date submitted below is not accurate. i entered it so that i could continue. *la | |||

| Consumer states while driving at 55mph vehicle was broad sided, and consumer couldn't shut vehicle off or remove the keys from the ignition after being hit. nlmthe cruise control on the vehicle never shut off causing consumer to collide head on with another vehicle and hitting a tree head on. the motor caught on fire after the incident. *jg | |||
