The day time running lights do not shut off when the ignition is off. the only temporary resolution was to disconnect the battery so that the battery would not die.

High beam headlights came on and would not turn off. fuses had to be pulled due to the battery being drained. online research shows there is an apparent problem with the headlight relay or switch but there is no information online where they are located. also there is a severe knocking noise in the front end. the rack and pinion had to be changed as well as the struts and the car doesn't even have 50k miles on it. toyota is junk!

Tl-the contact owns a 2007 toyota camry. while the vehicle was parked he noticed the right front headlight was becoming hazy. the vehicle was taken to an authorized dealer and the dealer buffed and sand both headlights. the contact was upset that the dealer repaired both when he only had a failure with one and he was advised by the dealer that the kit to repair the headlight came with two. the contact stated the cost of the repairs were $133.43. the failure mileage was 4,630 miles. the contact stated he took the vehicle back because when he used his headlights at night other drivers thought he had the high beams on. the vehicle was taken back to the dealer and they re-sanded the headlights with another kit and recoded them with plastic. the failure continued. the contact stated the dealer replaced the headlight and he was still experiencing the failure. the contact called the manufacture and filed a complaint. the vehicle had not been repaired. the contact stated he does not feel safe driving the vehicle at night. he stated the dealer was ordering another new set of headlights. the failure mileage was 4,630 and the current mileage was the current mileage was 4,639. vwb
