Driver's side sun visor started to fall apart around march 2011, it became safety issue as it failed to stay in stowed position and was only matter of time before it fell off altogether. went to dealer to buy replacement at cost of $121.85. now passenger side visor is doing the same thing and will have to be replaced soon. also rear lap seat belt is unserviceable due to locked-in retracted position.

I got a case number from toyota, toyota told me that the only way my air bag will deploy is that the motor would have to be in the car dash board to protect the driver. so she knows that the car air bag was working properly.

While driving 2007 toyota camry, the car was pulling to the left. i tried to control the car. the steering wheel locked up, the car went out of control. spinning and hitting the guard rail twice. the air bag didnt deployed, and the seat belt didnt hold or lock me into place while it was on. when the car came to a complete stop i turn the vehicle around from the on coming traffic, the brakes was giving out and the car was still steering to the left. i ended up in a ditch on the guard rail.

I have a 2007 toyota camry lxe. a driver decided to move into my lane from the left, to avoid a serious collision i had to swerve to the right and hit the brakes. my anti-lock brakes locked and i had no control over the car as we skidded across four lanes and hit a concrete wall. the air bags did not deploy and the seat belts (which were in use) did not lock us in. my wife hit the inside ceiling and the right window of the front door. i tried to find an attorney to go after toyota but could not find one who had the guts to stand up to toyota. there wasover $14,500 in repairs and as of today they are still putting the car back together again.

2007 toyota camry. back seatbelts lock while driving. my children sit in booster seat and use shoulder belt. we will be driving and they will lock where they can not move. we have to undo seatbelt, pull out a little and then it will retract. this has happened frequently and not in response to sudden stop. 3/14/10 one of the seatbelts in back did this and it will not come unlocked. the dealer is going to replace the entire seatbelt but it seems odd that this happens with all the belts. we do not feel confident they will work properly if there were and accident. with recent recalls related to possible mechanical and brake system thought it should be reported.

Tl*the contact has a 2007 toyota camry. the contact stated that if you adjust the seat for a taller person, the seat belt does not adjust and secure the passenger or drive and remained loose. the seat belt has malfunctioned since the vehicle was purchased. the current mileage was 67000.

On more than occasion the drivers side seat belt has become inoperable. it appears that it does not retract properly and will not release so that the driver can put it on. after several hours or days it will finally retract and begin to work again. this problem was reported to the dealer and was working when we took it in. nothing was done. it is going in again because it is happening more often and lasting longer. *tr

One car accident. front end shimmy led to an uncontrollable spin in right lane of highway (62-63 mph in a 65 zone, road dry, no sand, ice, water, oil), spun into left guardrail, bounced off and hit right side guardrail head on 45-60 mph. front/knee airbags did not deploy, seatbelt caught too late, leading to driver (only person in car) hitting head on steering wheel and knee on center console. injuries include concussion, whiplash, right knee/hip pain/damage, headaches, backaches, dizziness, neck/back soreness, forgetfulness following accident (random short term memory loss). car totaled (front end destroyed, other damage), problem reported to toyota. toyota rep appeared to be trying to blame driver on airbag/seatbelt failures but is sending investigator to check auto. insurance company has inspected vehicle. driver not ticketed by police (deemed not at fault for accident). *tr

2007 toyota camry seat belt is tight and stiff. *kb the consumer stated in order to be comfortable, she has to push the seat back and incline the back of the seat. the consumer stated she is not tall enough to drive that way. the consumer took the vehicle to the dealership and was told the seat belt could not be modified. the vehicle also had a vibration. the tires were balanced twice, there was a little improvement, however the consumer was told the vibration was normal because the engine was powerful. *jb

I purchased a toyota camry le 2007 model with 2.4 liter 4 cylinder on mar 18 2007. after first 15 -30 days, i started noticing a squeak or a kind of rattle from the front driver seat belt support area. the service technician at the dealers site was able to successfully reproduce the problem but said everything is normal. after lot of effort from my side to convince the gravity of the problem to the dealer considering seat belt as most critical element for drivers safety, dealer agreed to fix the problem. after a week long effort the problem was partially fixed. the squeaks are audible even now when the vehicle is turned right or occasionally when the surface of the road is uneven. the technician at dealers site acknowledge this behavior but is not able to provide a permanent fix to this problem. the problem is found to be only on the drivers side seat belt b pillar area. the passenger side seat belt on the contrary do not have this problem. i am deeply concerned with safety of the vehicle since proper analysis as to root cause of this problem has not been done by the service personnel. one can imagine the security risk this problem poses to the vehicle driver as it has the potential to cause a seat belt malfunction request nhtsa to kindly investigate this matter with due diligence and ensure manufacturer does a safety recall for this problem and takes all obligation necessary to fix the problem. *tr
