A few days after i took possession of my 2008 toyota camry, the splash guard came off. i was told that (1) i had gone over something and pulled it off, or (2) the factory may not have tightened the bolts enough. the dealer tightened the bolts. a few months later, the same thing occurred. this time, i noticed that the wheels were hitting the splash guard when i turned sharply. i brought the car in and reported the problem but all the dealer did was tighten the bolts again. immediately after the bolts were tightened, i noted that the same thing happened when i turned the wheel sharply. i finally had a free day and brought the car in again and told the dealer that the same thing was happening. again, i am being blamed for going over things in the road and they refuse to look into the situation. i am trying to avoid a dangerous incident. what can i do to insist that the car be given a thorough safety screening at no cost to me? *tr

Tl*the contact owns a 2008 toyota camry. while driving at any speed, there is a glare in the rear window that hinders the contact's visibility. she called the manufacturer and was informed that it was not a vehicle safety defect, but rather a design flaw. the contact purchased some black fabric and laid it across the inside of the window, which remedied the failure. the failure mileage was 800 and current mileage was 1,000. updated 6/16/08 *cn updated

Sunvisor has lost all tension and just hangs straight down interfering with visibility on driver's side. toyota will not assume responsibility when i called and discussed it with them at their customer service center although i have read this is a fairly common problem with camry 2008. had to remove sunvisor. *tr

Back in april the driver sun visor broke, we removed because i couldn't see when i was driving, and then about 1 week ago the passenger sun visor broke also. i called the 1-800-331-4331 for customer's concerns and they said there is nothing they can do. this is going to cost me about $300. this is a safety issue and toyota should issue a recall on the visors.

Front bumber is too low to road, which causes bumper cover to come into contact with parking space tire stops, which then pops bumper cover loose from holding clips, which causes bumper cover to flap, drag, or come off when going down road. this has happened twice within 8 months.

Driving on back road late at night-car suddenly veried to left hitting oncoming car-then going into ditch-could not control my car-was having problems prior-as car kept wanting to veer to right and acceletor seemed to stick from time to time-car was totaled and i suffered from injuries.i was one mile from my home when accident occured. i always felt like car had handling problems-but with toyda,s quality reputation did not think it was a manufacturing issue. i have a new toyda-still has tendancy to acciler ate from time to time unexpectedly-no accidents or close calls.
