The consumer states that the engine would accelerate from 800 to 3500 rpm when engaged, causing the motorcycle to take off. the motorcycle was taken to the dealer on several occasions, and the problem is still occurring. *ak the consumer states that the vehicle has major fuel injection problems. the vehicle has been in the shop 7 times for the same problem. (two bikes with fuel injection problems, has not been corrected, both are fire hazards.-the cat converter caught fire) the consumer has a video of the fire incident which started like a small bush fire on the side of the road. the consumer talked to other tt600 owner with the same problem. the bike gets 18 mpg, and the transmission still is not shifting properly. the consumer requests another motorcycle-different model, or money returned. additional problems with bike; time consuming-the battery is almost completely drained by the time the bike is started, the fuel mileage-unacceptable, idle erratic, has dropped the bike twice at slow speed turns, due to a result in idle speed surges (jumped from 600 to 4500 rpm-happens at random, the muffler glows red due to the emmisions being grossly out of spec., plugs are fowled, co's & hc's are extremely rich due to improper mapping of the fuel system, canister purge valve leaking internally, found fuel trim & engine load maxed out, had to adjust tps to help compensate fuel rich problems just to get bike to destination, the foot rest rubber front (lh/rh)-repairs, peg bank angle(?)-repair, screw in the torx-repair, indicator front lh-repair, lever assy-repair, the fairing side rh pntd (?)-repair, the infill panel radiator-repair, and the gasket/clutch cover-diagnosed repair loose shifter. *scc

I was heading west on interstate 80 coming in to auburn, california, between 65 and 70 mph in 6th gear and coming into a light turn when there was a grinding noise and within a second the entire transmission and/or gearbox froze locking my rear tire. the bike slid sideways all the way around the turn, i pumped the clutch 13 times before the rear wheel disengaged ending the slide. i don't know how i stayed on the bike and should most likely be dead or severely injured. the main pproblem is that the dealership has had my bike for over a month[sunce july 5] and has continually lied to my mother and i about why this happened and when it was to be fixed[they've missed their date twice so far] we have just contacted our lawyers and would like additional help if possible.thank you.
