Defect Summary	On certain motor home and truck chassis equipped with general motors 8.1l v8 engines, improper hardening during the heat treatment process can cause the fuel rail pulse damper retainer clip to fracture, resulting in inadequate retention of the damper. if the damper becomes loose, fuel could be pumped by the fuel pump into the under hood area.
Consequence Summary	In the presence of an ignition source, a fire could result.
Corrective Summary	Dealers will replace the fuel rail pulse damper retainer clips on these engines free of charge. the recall began on september 1, 2006. owners may contact workhorse at 877-294-6773.

Defect Summary	Navistar is recalling certain model year my 2001-2008 workhorse w20, w21 and w22 chassis and certain model year 2009 through 2011 monaco rv admiral, arista, monarch, and riptide recreational vehicles equipped with axles that include bosch zops or zoht pin slide hydraulic disc brakes. when combined with occasional or seasonal vehicle operation may experience calipers sticking in the applied position. this can result in abnormal heat generation at the wheel end causing brake drag. the driver would normally have warning of the brake drag if undetected by the driver.
Consequence Summary	The temperature increase at the wheel end can eventually lead to soft pedal conditions due to brake fluid boil, and possible extended stopping distance increasing the risk of a crash.
Corrective Summary	Workhorse dealers will replace all four bosch brake caliper assemblies free of charge. the safety recall began on september 16, 2010. owners may contact workhorse at 1-877-246-7731.

Consequence Summary	This steering condition could increase the risk of a crash.

	Tl- the contact owns a 2006 fleetwood bounder with w22 chassis. the passenger side front calipers locked while driving 35 mph. he was able placed the emergency, pulled over unto the road shoulder unlocked the caliper. he contacted the dealer advised they could replace the calipers, but the rotor the brake pad, were not included in recall 09v110000 service brakes, hydraulic. the manufacturer was contacted they advised he could submit the other damages parts, but they are not sure they will pay for the additional damaged. the failure and the current mileage were 17,000. li

	Tl- the contact owns a 2006 winnebago adventurer with a workhorse w 22 chassis. the contact received a recall letter. workhorse was contacted and they stated that they could make an appointment for him next. workhorse also stated that since the recall came out they have not received any parts for the remedy for nhtsa campaign id number: 09v110000, service brakes hydraulic. the contact is unhappy that this safety issue is not being addressed. the failure and current mileages were 16,000. vin unknown. rd

	Tlthe contact owns a 2006 workhorse chassis w22. he received recall notice# 09v110000 (service brakes, hydraulic) in may of 2009, and he immediately notified the dealer. he was advised that since the parts were unavailable, they could use old replacements parts to remedy the failure. the failure has not been properly remedied. the failure and current mileages were 21000. updated 10/27/09 bf the consumer stated the brakes overheated due to defective calipers. the repair of the left front brake lasted only 6 blocks down the road before the abs light illuminated. updated 10/29/09.*jb

	Tl*the contact owns a 2006 workhorse w22 chassis. the contact stated that the brakes failed and the vehicle was repaired according to nhtsa campaign id number 09v110000. the mechanic stated that the original parts were used for the recall repair. the current mileage was approximately 23,600 and failure mileage was 23,406.

	Tl*the contact owns a 2006 workhorse w22. when the contact depressed the brake pedal, he smelled a strong burning odor and noticed smoke. occasionally, he experiences reduced braking capability. he received a recall notice for nhtsa campaign id number 09v110000 (service brakes, hydraulic) and called the manufacturer. a representative stated that the remedy will not be available until december of 2009. the contact would have to pay $3,000 to have the component replaced. the vehicle has not been repaired. the mileages were not applicable.
