| The heads are aluminium the bolts attaching them are stainless steel the bolts caused the threads of the head to strip as the two materials are not compatible. the car was out of warranty on years but would have fallen within the mileage warranty, and i feel that this is a failure within the manufacturing of the car. the failures would have been taken care of under warranty if time were not a factor. this could be a potentially dangerous problem if the oil had overheated and caught fire. *ak | |||
