| 2006 chevy tahoe rear hatch will not unlock/open. this is the second time that this has occurred with this vehicle. first time repaired by the dealership where it was purchased new after the warranty expired -- expensive repair. now facing having to have costly repair again and the vehicle is less than 7 years old. this is a keyless entry and poses a serious safety issue as there is no way to open the hatch from the inside or the outside of the vehicle. i do not have the vin at this time. | |||

| Tailgate or back glass cannot be opened. they are locked, fuse good. slight click can be heard when try to open, but does not work. this is an electric lock and no way to open manually. when search on the internet hundreds of complaints could be found about the same problem. this is definitely a problem in the design. hundreds of vehicles from 2005 to 2007 have experienced the same problem . i have seen recalls even for child safety sticker. i wonder why there is no recall for this problem. | |||

| The lift gate and the rear window on my 2006 chevrolet tahoe will not unlock and therefore cannot be opened. the lift gate unlocks with the keyless remote or the passenger or driver door unlock buttons, neither of which presently opens the tailgate or rear window. there is no way a passenger can exit the vehicle from the tailgate and this is a safety hazard along with a useless cargo area. this failure occurred at 50,000 miles. *tr | |||
