 Problem with the the rear right break light assembly socket board burning out & condensation or water leaking into the assembly also related to cause. multiple times electrical problems reported & replaced on this vehicle & again on 09/2011 & 12/2011 for same rear break issue.

 Signal bulbs keep blowing out, definite electrical problem - brakes no longer work - bulbs are good, they work when you pull the back cases off. put them on like they are supposed to be, no longer work. cannot find anything wrong to fix it! *tr

 Numerous electrical problems both headlights replaced one under warranty, both heated mirrors replaced, one under warranty, battery replaced under warranty,, dash lights blink off and on gas gauge shows full most of the time and at other times goes to empty, sometimes will show correct fuel left in tank. vehicle occasionally locks itself, have to keep an extra key handy. *tr

 First we lost one of the speeds on the fan inside the van. then about 2 weeks later we were on a trip and all was fine. we stopped for about 1.5 hours and then continued to drive. when we had started out the second time there was an odor of something burning, so i pulled over and checked things out. i looked under the dash and could not see anything. i also felt the dash components to see if there was any thing that was hot, to which i did not see that much of a difference. i started the van back up and noticed that i could not turn the internal fan off and the smell of melting/burning wires was strong. i got home and took the dash apart and found that the fan switch had melted and wires to the fan switch had melted the insulation off. i took the switch out of the car so i can order a new switch and wiring harness. if i did not take the dash apart as soon as i got home, it could have caused a fire. *tr

 Electrical problems when turn blinker on it locks and unlocks doors. when vehicle is off the buzzer stays on continuously, been told that it could possibly catch fire.. possible ground wire.. need to know what i can do .. this shouldn't be doing this .. just purchased this vehicle a year ago.. paid cash no extended warranty .. should this be happening .. i'm taking it to york ford in houlton maine to have a diagnostic test done on it .. this vehicle is only 5 years old .. why would it have any electrical problems. *tr

 Tl*- the contact has a 2003 chevrolet venture in which he had to replace the climate control switch because the fan switch stayed only on the low position, allowing for only one setting. the contact bought the replacement part and replaced the climate control switches on his own. while replacing the switches he noticed that the old unit had melted the plastic around the wire harness. the contact also had to replaced the left rear tail light assembly because it had completely corroded which made it inoperable. the contact is looking for reimbursement for the parts. the contact spoke with the manufacturer who stated that they wouldn't be able to consider any type of reimbursement because he didn't take the vehicle to a dealer to have it repaired. the failuer and current milage were 75000 miles.

 Consumer complained of rear end problem. consumer maintained that manufacturer never sealed the back end of the vehicle. as a result, water leaked into the vehicle. the manufacturer refused to repair the defect. however, the manufacturer was willing to dry out the vehicle. also, a moldy mildew smell lingered within the vehicle. *ak mold was all through the ceiling as well as blowing through the rear vents, the back end leaked, the roof rail seams and pitch rail were not sealed, water leaked into the rear dome light and leaked onto the floor in the rear, the tires were replaced at 18k miles, the #2 and #3 fan relay shorted, the front end had excessive play, and the front windshield seal had come loose from the glass. *sc *jb

 Dt the vehicle caught on fire. the fire department came and extinguished the fire. the fire department claimed it was the electrical system up under the dash. this happened on september 26, 2005. smelled something burning while driving on the highway, but in this area it could smell like that at certain times. the vehicle had been sitting for an hour and fifteen minutes before the fire. there was no for earning and no noise. contacted the dealer, they said they could not help us. *ak

 Vehicle experienced an electrical problem. the dashboard lights began to illuminate and went out. this occurred repeatedly for about 45 seconds . consumer took the vehicle to the dealer on 6 occasions, and the problem was not resolved. consumer was told by the service technician to ignore this. *ak
