ELECTRICAL SYSTEM

I had a full electrical system shutdown. once i was able to get the car stopped on the side of the road i had the tow truck driver check the battery level and it was good. no lights, power, nothing. rpm & speedometer were still pegged at the level they were at when the issue occurred.

I own a 2007 chrysler 300 c. for the past two years the car just shuts off while driving. it does not matter what speed i am doing. it just shuts down. it takes me pulling off the road if i can, shut it off and restart it. recently i took it to chrysler for i think the third time and they replaced the ecu. it worked for about three months and yesterday i was driving in interstate driving when it shut down doing 70 miles hour. barely avoiding a semi from running into the back of me. it happened twice with in a 500 mile drive. very dangerous. about three weeks ago it happened on a side street and i pulled over and it started up fine. wrote it off and went on. this is very bad. i am going back to the dealer tomorrow and find out what can be done. no warning when this happens and it seems chrysler has no answer but to replace the computer.

All the warning lights on the dash were flashing and speedometer and tachometer was pulsating from 0 to actual, no loss of power however scared the stuff out of me. stopped and turned engine off. was ok, by the way, we were on canada 1 and had to get back to the us. almost got home and it all started again. *tr
