When i was in my car one day, i parked and tried to get out. the door stuck and i think this was because the rubber stuck to the door.. it took me fifteen minute to get out of my car. i had to lift up the bottom of the now detached inside plastic frame in order to get out of my car. in about a year< the same thing happened to the passenger door> my daughter tried to get out of the vehicle and the door got stuck... she pushed the door and the plastic inside frame detached from the door the same way the driver's side did. now we must lift that door too.. this happens almost all of the time and if there is an emergency and we have to get out, this is a huge concern. if there was a fire or crash.. i met someone with the exact year and model care and they have the same problem... please help me! *tr

Tl*the contact owns a 1999 chrysler concorde. while driving 45 mph, the vehicle shut off and stopped in the middle of the freeway. the contact was able to maintain control of the vehicle, although the brakes and power steering failed. someone had to assist her with steering the vehicle to the side of the road. the police was called and the vehicle was towed to the auto repair shop. there had not been any engine failure prior to this incident. the auto shop stated that engine sludge coated the engine. it would cost $5,000 to replace the engine. the failure mileage was 60,000. updated 2/23/09 *cn the passenger seat belt was difficult to unfasten and the rear passenger door had to be opened from the outside. updated 02/26/09. *jb

This is the message that i sent to chrysler corporation on 4/8/2003. i am having a problem with the items below. the car is a 1999 chrysler concorde lxi. i purchased it used sept. 2002. i currently have 46201 miles on the car and by looking at the information on you website see that i am not the only individual to have these problems. my rear driver's side window is not working. it worked when i purchased the car, but now it doesn't even go down. i am having it replaced, but am not happy that a car only 3 years of age has such a problem. i have already done my research and have realized that i have purchased a car with numerous problems. also, the front passenger door lock mechanism (actuator) also has to be replaced. it is currently making a very loud pitched noise when activating the locking feature. the unlock doesn't make the noise. i would appreciate a response about this information. i will also be contacting the nhtsa about these issues so they are aware of them. when at the dealer today, 4/8/2003, the service person said that the door lock mechanism has been a consistent problem. i really don't think that i will be purchasing or persuading an individual to purchase a chrysler product. sincerely, jason hopple. *nlm

Brakes continuously lock, which causes tires to lock and the car skids and pitches forward. our door locks are broken and the bottom portion of the back seat is coming out from the floor. when we purchased the car, we asked the salesperson (tim white) if the car was in good condition and if this was a rental car. he said it had one owner. when i repeated this to the manager last week, he said it did. he stated that the owner was the rental company in florida. then i pointed out to the manager that one owner did not mean one driver. with it being a rental car it has had many drivers some not so careful as others. if i had been inforrmed of the cars true history and condition, i would never have purchased this automobile. *ak( dot number: )

My son, a teenager and excellent driver, was driving through heavy snow. car was in motion with minimal spinning of wheels. smoke entered passenger compartment through vents. he turned off car and popped hood, which did not release. saw flame in engine compartment through slits near wipers. still could not release hood by hand at front of vehicle. used snow to attempt to extinguish fire and was joined by person who completely discharged small extinguisher. asked that fire department (fd) be called, and fd extinguished fire. car was a total loss. contacted daimler chrysler same date and have not heard result of investigation. i understand there's no relevant recall, but car was in excellent working condition. i loved it and had no complaints. now am forced to replace vehicle. insurance has completely satisfied lease obligation, but i am disadvantaged as i must replace vehicle and i feel that the manufacturer must be at fault. can you provide any info or assistance?*ak
