 Tl* the contact owns a 1994 chrysler lhs. while driving at 25 mph the vehicle automatically accelerated when approaching a hill. the contact swerved and attempted to depress the brake pedal, but the vehicle continued to accelerate. she stated that she will take the vehicle to the local mechanic for a diagnostic of the failure. the contact called the manufacturer and will submit her case number with the hard copy of the ivoq. the current and failure mileages were 51,000. *ak

 1994 chrysler lhs accelerated without warning causing consumer to strike two vehicles and a telephone pole. *kb the consumer stated the air bags failed to deploy. *jb

 Dt*: the contact stated that the vehicle accelerated without warning while pulling out of a parking space. the contact lost control of the vehicle, and struck two other vehicles before striking a telephone pole. a police report was filed. a chrysler inspector took the vehicle to a service dealer, where they were unable to determine the problem.

 While driving 55 mph vehicle suddenly accelerated uncontrollably. driver was not able to maintain control of the vehicle, and it collided into a utility pole. driver sustained minor injuries, and was transported to a hospital. the vehicle was towed a garage for inspection. the cause has not been determined at this time. *ak *nm

 Consumer states cruise control does not work. dealer replaced speed sensor connectors. *tt

 Intermittently when accelerating to pass another vehicle transmission downshifts. when letting off the accelerator, transmission shifts up. vehicle surges and stalls. also, crank sensor was replaced last week, but the problem came back. problem was reported to the dealership. problem seems to be related to recall campaign 94v024000. please provide any further information.*ak

 While traveling and without any indication speed control would kick in . *ak when consumer depressed the brake , it disengage the cruise control and the vehicle loses power. consumer took it to the dealer and dealer could not find any problem. *yh

 Consumers vehicle accelerated forward after backing out of a parking space hitting a concrete barrier. both air bags deployed. nlm
 When driving at highway speeds the vehicle will jump from 2000 rpm to 3000 rpm and then lose power and stall. dealer cannot determine cause. *ak

 Smoke poured from under hood followed by vehicle suddenly accelerating across a busy intersection, almost caused an accident.

 The gears of the vehicle locked up, the vehicle (unmanned) moved down the driveway hitting small trees causing undercarriage damage. consumer refused to drive an unsafe vehicle due to recalls and problems, consumer left vehicle parked at dealership for over a year, when driving vehicle after it had sat for a long period of time, it stalled while stopped at a stop sign, consumer was able to restart with no problems, serpentine belt came loose, black smoke coming from under the hood. vehicle experienced a tire vibration between 40 and 65 mph. turn signals did not work. transmission experienced vibration in the 2-3 upshift, a drbiii test was performed and code 48 came up, this code indicates a problem between the transmission control module and the power train module under heavy acceleration. vehicle experienced high accereration across a busy intersection. *slc

 Vehicle experienced sudden acceleration resulting in collision.

 Vehicle would not shift into park (would only go as far as neutral) and engine could not be turned off. emergency brake was applied and had to be released manually. when released the vehicle suddenly accelerated crashing before it stopped. fuses had to be disconnected in order for engine to shut off. consumer was injured in this accident. vehicle experienced an engine malfunction, the alternator belt burned, causing engine to smoke and stall. battery failed. turn signals did not work. tires were out of balance and caused vibration. transmission experienced vibration, gears malfunctioned, a code revealed a problem between the transmission control module and the powertrain module under heavy acceleration, consumer was informed this was possibly caused by a sticky throttle position sensor. brakes experienced vibration due to brakes being out of round, the front brakes and front rotors were replaced. *slc

 Put vehicle in park it would only go as far as neutral, turned off ignition in all position, engine continued to run. the key was removed, emergency brake to close to floor to engage appropriately, than the brake released fully and the vehicle accelerated fully.

 The purpose of this complaint is to inform you of a very frightening, near deadly experience i had while driving my chrysler lhs. on january 7, 2004, i was driving home from work when my gas pedal stuck as i was going up a hill. i tried to break but was unsuccessful. i then attempted to put the car in neutral and then low gear - still not stopping or slowing of the vehicle occurred. as i approached a 3-way intersection, i was frantically trying to stop or even slow the vehicle down. i went right through the intersection and missed hitting a pick up truck by inches. once again, i attempted to put the car in neutral. this time the engine revved high and revved until it stopped. smoke immediately filled the surrounding area, antifreeze, and oil leaked out of the vehicle. i called 911 and the fire department, police and tow truck arrived. in response to the questions below, although there was no fire, smoke filled the surrounding area. although there was no accident, i missed a pick up truck by inches. 911 was notified and the police, fire department and tow truck arrived. *la
