Defect SummaryCertain airtex fuel pump module assemblies, p/n e7081h, sold for use as replacement equipment for the vehicles listed above. the wall of the flared fitting of the fuel pump is not thick enough to prevent the mating threaded fittings from bottoming out before an adequate seal is achieved. this condition may result in leakage of fuel at the connection of the vehicle fuel line and the fuel pump module assembly.
Consequence SummaryIn the presence of an ignition source, a fuel leak could result in a fire.
Corrective SummaryAirtex will notify owners and replace the fuel pumps free of charge. the recall is expected to begin during july 2007. owners can contact airtex automotive at 800-880-3056.

Defect SummaryCertain tigas fuel pump modules manufactured between june 1 and september 24, 2006, sold under various brand names and p/nos. these fuel pump modules are sold as aftermarket for use in certain daimlerchrysler vehicles listed above. silicone material used in manufacture of the flapper valve was out-of-specification, leading to excess swell of the flapper valve restricting the flow of fuel to the fuel pump module.
Consequence SummaryFuel restriction could result in loss of power and/or engine stall, possibly resulting in a vehicle crash.
Corrective SummaryTi automotive will notify owners and replace the defective fuel pump modules free of charge. the recall began on october 6, 2006. owners may contact ti automotive toll-free at 1-877-461-1834.

 While driving at any speed vehicle will shut off without any warning. contacted dealer, and the dealer replaced distributor and the fuel pump, but problem still exsits.*ak

 Whenever driving all of a sudden the engine will shut off. theis has happened three times within ten days. the dealer has changed the fuel pump three times, and the problem still happens. *ak

 Vehicle was involved in a low speed frontal collision. upon impact, driver's air bag did not deploy. ak prior to accident, vehicle was taken to a garage due to a popping sound that came from underneath the vehicle, the garage repaired the distributor, shortly after those repairs while driving around a slow turn, steering was lost and the vehicle also accelerated on its own, hitting a fence, 1 week later consumer received recall 00v421002. *slc

 I wish you would recall the fuel rail which connects to my chrysler sebring lxi 2.5 coupe,why, because it could cause a fire with just a spark it also leaks and i have my kids to think about. from what i've been told this happens to a lot of sebrings. i'd rather file a complaint before something terrible happens rather then wait till its too late. *nm

 Dt: the injectors leaked. also, there was a fuel smell in the vehicle. was not sure what caused the leakage. the consumer found this out when he went to get the brakes repaired. the problem was found on september 26, 2005. the smell had been their for at least six months off and on. there have been no accidents as of yet. the vehicle has not been repaired as of yet. *ak
