| Tl*the contact owns a 1998 chrysler sebring. the contact stated that the door latch has failed three times when she attempted to open the driver side door. when attempting to unlock the vehicle, the key turns, but does not unlock the vehicle. the contact took the vehicle to different mechanics and they replaced the locks and latches twice. the current mileage was 139,000 and failure mileage was 110,000. | |||

| Defective door handle on my 1998 chrylser sebring: my door handle on the driver side broke off right in my hand as i attempted to opent the door. due to expensive repair the handle is still broken . over the years i have noticed close to a hundred sebring owners with broken door handles, so this is obviously a manufacturers defect and should be recalled! | |||

| While installing a css in the rear seat, the locking latch plate (made of plastic) popped apart and fell off. since it no longer was locking, it becomes a sliding latch plate and would require a locking clip to ensure the css would stay in place. the service dept. popped the piece back on. the locking latch plate is easy to pull apart....will this hold if there is an accident? | |||
| LATCHES/LOCKS/LINKAGES - TRUNK LID - LOCK | |||

| Trunk lid supports (neumatic supports?) failed to keep trunk open, causing the trunk lid to fall closed on the back of my head while i was securing the spare tire while parked at a gas station. car only has 55,000k miles. the trunk lid came crashing down as if it had no support at all. if this is a model wide defect, i think this hazard could potentially cause serious injury, especially to children. *ak | |||
