Defect SummarySabersport is recalling 16,270 combination corner and bumper lamp assemblies of various part numbers sold for use as aftermarket equipment for various passenger vehicles. these headlamps fail to conform to the requirements of federal motor vehicle safety standard no. 108, lamps, reflective devices, and associated equipment. these lamps do not contain the required amber side reflectors.
Consequence SummaryDecreased lighting visibility may result in a vehicle crash.
Corrective SummarySabersport will notify owners and offer a full refund for the noncompliant combination lamps. the safety recall began on may 11, 2009. owners may contact sabersport at 1-909-598-7589.

 Headlights and brake lights turn off. dealer states that the multi-function switch is defective and needs replacing. google search has several similar complaints in forums by other chrysler owners. a few stating that they flash on an off while they are driving at night. the dealer tapped the part for me and they turn on...tap again...they turn off. the dealer charges 300 to replace this part. are they replacing it with another part that will go defective or have they fixed the root cause of the problem. this is a huge safety issue. our headlights should be reliable...*jb
