Defect SummaryOn certain motor homes built on workhorse chassis and equipped with general motors 8.1l v8 engines, improper hardening during the heat treatment process can cause the fuel rail pulse damper retainer clip to fracture, resulting in inadequate retention of the damper. if the damper becomes loose, fuel could be pumped by the fuel pump into the under hood area.
Consequence SummaryIn the presence of an ignition source, a fire could result.

Consequence SummaryExtended operation of a leaking cooling unit could lead to a fire from gas which might escape.

Consequence SummaryThe hot exhaust may result in heat damage to the interior of the refrigerator cabinet and could result in a fire.

Defect SummaryFleetwood is recalling 509 my 2001-2008 class a motor homes equipped with axles that include bosch zops or zoht pin slide hydraulic disc brakes. when combined with occasional or seasonal vehicle operation may experience calipers sticking in the applied position. this can result in abnormal heat generation at the wheel end causing brake drag. the driver would normally have warning of the brake drag if undetected by the driver.
Consequence SummaryThe driver would normally detect the brake drag but if undetected the temperature increase at the wheel end can eventually lead to soft pedal conditions due to brake fluid boil, and possible extended stopping distance increasing the risk of a crash.

 Some of the double pane windows in the motor home are beginning to fog up between the panes of glass. the one that is of major concern is the driver side window that i look out of to see my side mirror is starting to fog. i have not made on replacement of said windows as i will have to for it out of my pocket. unfortunately, fleetwood filed bankruptcy and therefore are not liable for the failure. from what i am told the supplier of said windows are out of business as well. the failure was gradual over the time i had the motor home: purchased on feb 13, 2006 to this date dec. 19, 2010.

 Tl-the contact owns a 2006 fleetwood bounder rv. the contact stated that the passenger window becomes foggy due to the seal leaking. this causes his vision to be obscured if he had to look over to merge into another lane. the vehicle has not been inspected by a dealer nor has it been repaired. the manufacturer was contacted and advised him to replace the window on his own. the failure mileage was approximately 18,000 and the current mileages was approximately 19,000. tb

 Tl. the contact owns a 2006 fleet wood bounder. the contact stated the front driver and passenger side windows are cloudy impairing the contact vision while driving. the dealer stated the side windows need to be replaced. the dealer stated that windows do not close all the way and that causes air to seep in a cloud the windows. the contact has not had the windows replaced. the contact stated this is a safety issue the the manufacturer should be responsible for. the failure mileage as 40,000. jo
