On april 28th, at approximately 6 pm, while it had been sitting, having not been driven for almost an hour, our 2000 ford f-150 caught fire. there was no indication prior to the event that would have tipped us off that this was going to happen our cruise control was still operational. we received our recall notice in january 2005 and we took it to the dealership in late may early june 2005 where it was purchased to have it serviced for smoke coming from underneath the hood. it was not until this fire that we found out the cruise control was not fixed, our insurance company, farm bureau, did an investigation and that was their finding. we were very fortunate that nobody was hurt but the truck is a total loss.
