| Started having difficulties when driving , speed did not matter , could happen at 20-50-65 . sputtering ,missing heaving , no power or losing power. no computer codes either - 2 times to the dealer with not finding the problem as it was occasional/and unusual in the way it occurred. 3rd time the dealer told us it was the turbo and we paid 2,000.00 to replace- now 5 months later continue to have problems again. this truck as it stands is unreliable and dangerous - we lost power on the interstate - could have been fatal. i read on line many are complaining of the same or similar issue . i want an answer and i want a solution now. *tr | |||

| I just recently purchased my first 2005 ford f-250 in august of 2012. this is the first vehicle that i purchased that was a ford product. on august 13, 2012 i was driving my truck doing approximately 35 mph when i noticed that i started to lose power on the accelerator and my vehicle just shutt off all of a sudden. the vehicle left me stranded and would not restart. i had to wait about thirty minutes before the vehicle would start again. i also smelled a strong odor of exhaust in the cabin of my truck. i then went to a local muffler shop and had them check my exhaust system. i was told that the truck had no exhaust leaks. i then started to research the symptoms of my truck online and found out that there were numerous complaints about the same issues that i was having on my truck. since then it has happened to me on several more occasions making it very unsafe to drive my vehicle. my local mechanic has been unable to find anything wrong with the truck. my research has indicated that this is a manufacture problem created by ford motor company and they will fix the problem under warranty. however due to the un-safeness of this problem ford motor company should do a recall on this model and correct the defect at no cost to the consumer. i will be making arrangements to contact my local ford dealership and have them diagnose what is wrong with my vehicle. i made this complaint because of all the other complaints made with the same problem that needs to be addressed by ford motor company. *tr | |||

| This truck repeatedly has to be repaired for fuel systems problems. egr repair, 4 injectors replaced, so far. ford knows of this problem with the 6.0 powerstroke diesel, but refuses to stand behind their product. so far we have had to pay out well over $8000 in repairs out of pocket. now when we try to trade it in on another ford the ford dealer refuses it as a trade in. auto manufacturers should be made to be accountable for this type of thing. we're not talking about a $20 toaster here. this is thousands of dollars. we can not afford to just go out and buy a new one. | |||
