Tl-the contact owns a 2001 ford f250 super duty. while driving at approximately 40 mph pressure was applied to the accelerator pedal but the vehicle would not accelerate. the contact stated that he had to shift the vehicle into neutral then back into drive in order to get the vehicle to accelerate. the failure kept recurring intermittently and the vehicle was taken to an authorized dealer where the contact was informed the accelerator pedal and the accelerator pedal sensors needed to be replaced. the vehicle was in the process of having the accelerator pedal and sensors replaced. the failure and current mileages were 70,000. the vin was unavailable. sm.

I just found out that my 2001 f-250's cruise control was never replaced just disconnected,i only found out after i took it to an independent repair to repair a brake problem. because my brake system lost pressure. the original ford solution of disconnecting the cruise control fixes one problem but that same faulty part is still poses danger. i took my truck to ford a there report showed no recall notice showing and they told me it would be $103 to replace the part, of course i paid it, it would be to dangerous not too. the dealer told me i should call ford customer complaint dept to try and get my money back. but the real issue is that many people that think they can live with ford's first solution, without cruise control. think again about suddenly losing brake pressure. *tr
