I have owned this car for about a year and since i have owned it have had nothing but problems. first the struts were blown, the dash lights would go from bright to dim, the steering wheel made a clicking noise, the windows leak...this car only has 41,000 miles i mean come on! now the transmission has completely failed and after reading other websites it sounds like i will be paying $4,000 dollars. i am a new mom and have 3 step kids. i can't feel safe in my car because i'm worried about it breaking down constantly. now i have to dump all this money that i don't have into it. i really just want to cut my losses, but is that really the best thing to do? i'm stuck with this junker car and i couldn't feel more sorry for all these other people having the same issues. i'm absolutely miserable. thanks gmc you suck. *tr

Vehicle has been serviced 4 times for water leak that dealer can not find. water that has leaked inside has caused a malfunction in the fuse block. this caused all lights, including headlights to flicker and gauges to read wrong information. very dangerous and distracting when driving. could lead to more serious electrical problems if water continues to leak in. *tr

Water entering interior of the vehicle. points of entry include: side air bag openings, foot emergency brake(which is located near vehicle electrical components) shoulder seat belt openings and through dvd screen. this is the second time my vehicle has been service for this complaint. the headliner was removed and repairs have been attempted. my concern are with the damage to air bag output in emergency due to water, electrical component damage such as dvd player and electrical component by emergency brake and also the moisture the interior of the vehicle has been exposed to for mold and mildew. *tr

Bought a used 2007 gmc acadia slt in may of 2010, since then i have had headlights blowing constantly, engine shutting off while driving, warning lights coming on, however my biggest issue is that i bought this vehicle in sunny el paso, tx and then moved to rainy germany with the military. now the car is constantly leaking water from the seat belts, airbag squares, emergency brake, dvd system and several places on the roof (inside) and the pillars (inside). i am concerned that this is messing with all the electrical of my car and i am wondering if my airbags will work if ever needed. it seems there is hundreds of people across the world that have the same problem but gmc wont do anything about it. i cant get rid of the car because of this and i am not sure i want to take the risk of driving it. what now? gmc only puts out a tsb for this but wont address the actual problem, since i bought used i have no warranty plus i am overseas where there is no one to fix it under warranty even if it was possible. *tr

Since the vehicle was purchased in brand new condition around november 2007 the vehicle has encounter several problems with water getting inside the cabin due to the poor water drain system installed on vehicle. water drain system has been repair in sections and taken to gmc shop for all recalls. the water drain system has failed again on may 31, 2010 when the vehicle was in the car wash. the dealer/gmc shop is aware of the on-going issue. the entire water drain system on the vehicle should be replaced or vehicle bought back from gmc, if water gets into the electrical system it could be a potential electrical fire, injuries, traffic collisions or death.

The car has had electrical and engine problems since we purchased it due to water leaks from a flawed sunroof design. even after a recall to fix the sunroof to prevent water leaks; it continues to leak and damage electrical and engine systems. this is an ongoing problem and is a widespread concern for the 2007-2008 gmc acadias. i would like someone to investigate this problem. i believe it is a safety concern because the leaks occur in the area where there are airbags. i think there is a structural defect that may not be able to be repaired and it presents a safety hazard for all who drive these vehicles. please investigate this problem. do not let gmc sweep this under the rug! *tr
