Defect SummaryCertain replacement fuel filters, fram brand name p/n g3727, with date codes x52911 through x60801 sequentially or x600141 and a mexico country or origin marking on the fuel filter housing manufactured from october 18, 2005, through march 21, 2006, sold for use on the vehicles listed above and on certain school buses. (to see the school bus engine sizes, click on document search and then bus applications). the connector on the fuel filter was not manufactured to honeywell's specification. as a result, the o-ring may not seat correctly on the fuel line.
Consequence SummaryThis condition may cause an inadequate seal at the connection, potentially leading to a fuel leak. in the presence of an ignition source, a fire could occur.
Corrective SummaryHoneywell will notify owners and replace the fuel filters free of charge. the recall began on october 18, 2006. owners may contact fram customer service at 1-800-890-2075 (option 1).

 Throttle sticks when driving on cruse control and upon start up after sitting all night. my gm delaer blames upon the cheep blend of fuel. i was told by another mechanic that gm replaced and repaired may of the throttle bodies with this condition. my vehicle was not recalled. i could clear this condition by taping on the accelerator. my last trip had the acellerator stick and i was unable to clear the condition.

 The driver noticed while the vehicle was parked in front of the residence. a brown fluid was leaking from underneath the vehicle. the driver noticed that the vehicle was performing erratically and drove to the dealer for inspection. the mechanic informed the driver that the gasoline was corroded. please fill in additional information. *nm

 Fuel injection sysytem is clogging injectors. vehicle acts sluggish and runs rougher. in june 2001 it was taken to dealer to be cleaned. dealer stated it came from california gas, and how it fed the system. *ak consumer had the fuel filter changed, however this did not change the performance. *jb

 Rear axle welded wrong 1/2 off, drag linkage installed backwards, headlights way out of adjustment causing limited 30-50 visibility, propane hose blocking fill valve and needs to be pried out of the way to fill tank which could cause a crack or leak, nhtsa recall repair not completed at dealer even though they had the replacement for 20 days prior to delivery. *ak

 Safari engine unpedictably stopped whne covering short distance. engine shut off while driving. *bf on three separate occasion, when the consumer took the vehicle to the dealer, they were unable to duplicate the condition of a dying engine. on another occasion, the consumer was unable to stop the vehicle. the passenger window would go up, but would not roll down. the fuel gauge did not read correctly. *jb
