Defect SummaryDope, inc. is recalling 42,540 combination corner and bumper lamp assemblies of various part numbers sold for use as aftermarket equipment for various passenger vehicles. these headlamps fail to conform to the requirements of federal motor vehicle safety standard no. 108, lamps, reflective devices, and associated equipment. these lamps do not contain the required amber side reflectors.
Consequence SummaryDecreased lighting visibility may result in a vehicle crash.
Corrective SummaryDope, inc. will notify owners and offer a full refund for the noncompliant combination lamps. the safety recall began on july 28, 2009. owners may contact dope, inc. at 1-626-272-1798.

 Dt: consumer stated brake failure resulted in extended stopping distance. took to a dealer for this issue 3 times. dealer's general manager said there was some type of problem but he did not know what caused it. no repairs or parts replaced. *ak on oct 18, 2004 the rear rotors were turned. even after the rotors were turned the brakes still performed poorly. the right fog light fell off while driving. *nm

 Dt*: the contact stated the headlights turned off momentarily when the steering wheel was tilted. the headlights came on by themselves without prior indication. the contact detected the odor of something burning. the vehicle was taken to an independent repair shop, which discovered the multi function turn signal switch shorted out. although there was no fire the connecting wires and terminals were black and melted. the turn signal switch was replaced. *ak
