| Defect Summary | Certain federal-mogul replacement wheel hub assemblies with the brand names: national, carquest p/nos. 515020, 515021, 515025, 515053, 515054, 515059, and 515060, shipped between january 23, 2006, and december 20, 2007, sold for light duty and medium duty trucks. the inboard retention nut used to maintain hub bearing assembly can loosen resulting in an abs light indication, noise, and/or wheel separation. | |||||||||||||||

| Abs activates during slow stops, increases stopping distance. dealer performed recall 05v37900 and problem persists. dealer replaced both front speed sensors and problem persists. i believe problem is corrosion in front wheel hubs on tone ring. recall does not address that part. | |||

| Tl*the contact owns a 2002 gmc yukon. while driving 10 mph, the abs activated and the contact heard a fluttering noise. the failure also occurred when the brake pedal was depressed. the dealer stated that the wheel hubs needed to be replaced and informed the contact that her vin was not included in nhtsa campaign id number 07e106000 (wheels:cap/cover/hub). the purchase date was unknown. the current mileage was 30,880 and failure mileage was 23,700. | |||
