| I very rarely use my rear glass hatch of my 2004 yukon, but recently when having to load up my yukon to evacuate hurricane gustav. when i went to close it, i heard a load pop and noticed that the left rear glass hinge had broken up. when i returned home, i called the gmc dealership where i purchased the vehicle and was told that it is not covered by my extended warranty. they have the replacement in stock, but since they do not deem it a safety issue, the part has not been recalled. i find this shocking since they know that it happens enough to where they keep this item in stock at the dealership and charge you $900 to replace it. *tr | |||

| I have a 2004 yukon that has the rear hatch back. the glass has become detached from the body of the vehicle. it is very expensive to replace. i talking to body shops and the dealership, i have learned that this problem is not that uncommon. one local owner of a auto body shop said they this is a defect in the way these windows are attached to the vehicle. *tr | |||
