| We purchased a universal lonestar motorcyclet-bag set from orange county harley davidson in ca. we were instructed on how to use this bag, and secured it properly on our bike. there are loops on top of the smaller bag to secure other cargo to, which we did. we put two approx $400 leather jackets strapped on top like we were shown. this bag straps over the backrest of the motorcycle seat, zips on the sides and has to straps to secure to the luggage rack. all of this was done. at 70 miles per hour on the freeway this bag somehow came up over the back rest and flipped everything under the fender, which caught on the tire. this proceeded to completely lock up the rear tire and brake, providing a rear wheel skid and fish tail of both tires at 70 miles per hour. this caused both jackets to go up in smoke, the tire partially melted, and put a groove in it thereby destroying the tire. we have pictures of the damage, and triple checked everything about how we had our stuff secured, and we had it exactly as we were instructed to at the dealer. this is a new product from them, and obviously has a design flaw that could cause someone to be killed. *ak | |||
