| Defect Summary | A plastic slider piece within the headlamp dimmer switch assembly does not fully retract when the headlamp dimmer switch is moved from low beam to high beam position. the low beam lamps go out as intended, but the high beam lamps do not come on. | |||||||||||||||

| Front tires were very unevenly worn with less than 18,000 miles. another set of front tires had to be purchased with 55,000 miles due to again, very unevenly worn tires. driver's side glass window would not roll up and down. repair made by service dept. of dealer. headlights suddendly completely went out. a headlight switch had to be replaced.( dot number: tire size: 13 ) | |||

| Car was inspected at college park hyundai on 3/2/98 and passed at mileage 60432 and was still under the grace period of passing inspection when i bought it as is without working headlights, blowers and radio. other repairs have been made, another report will be filed. *ak | |||

| Nhtsa campaign 95v00300; hyundai issued a high/low dimmer switch recall. this vehicle was not included in the recall, but the lights came on by itself while the vehicle was off and the high beams came on unexpectedly. the vin was outside the remedy scope. *jb | |||
